CAV2006 is the sixth international conference on cavitation since 1986.
It covers all aspects of cavitation, both fundamental and applied. The aim of
the conference is to provide a platform in which the state of the art of the
knowledge and control of cavitation and its effects is presented and discussed.
Physical insights, numerical modelling and applications in ship propellers,
pumps and turbines are among the major topics. The conference aims at a
significant contribution from engineering applications in which cavitation was
effectively controlled.
CAV2006 will emphasize scientific and technical discussions, both formal
in the sessions and informal. Therefore the time available for presentations and
discussions is extended, which results in an expected 5 days conference.
A (non-exclusive) list of topics is:
1. Cavitation inception
2. Nuclei and water quality
3. Bubble dynamics
4. Calculation methods of cavitation
5. Attached cavitation
6. Vortex cavitation
7. Supercavitation
8. Cavitation Erosion
9. Cavitation induced pressure fluctuations
10. Cavitating flow in pumps
11. Cavitation on ship propellers
12. Cavitation in hydraulic machines
13. Cavitation in fuel injection systems
14. Useful applications of cavitation (cleaning, medical)
15. Thermodynamics and cavitation
16. Test facilities and Test methods
